We are the most acclaimed restaurant in the local area serving first class modern british cuisine to the highest standard and hold inclusion in the both the Michelin & Good Food Guides.

Restaurant 65 is conveniently located on the main High Street in the heart of historic Hemel Hempstead Old Town, (almost opposite St Mary Church) and is within walking distance of Public houses, Bars and the Old Town Theatre.

We endeavour to provide great value, top quality, modern British cuisine in a relaxed environment. Owner and Head Chef, Grant Young develops each dish personally to ensure a unique dining experience. All dish components are prepared from scratch on the premises using locally sourced, fresh ingredients to produce nutritious, non processed, healthy foods that are easily adapted to suit any dietary requirement.

Our regularly changing menus offer a variety of tempting dishes using the principle of good nutrition. All the food groups are represented creating a well balanced meal that is a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.  

Restaurant 65 has been recommended by the Michelin guide since 2008 and by the Good Food Guide since 2010 for its well executed cooking. The menus are constantly evolving and changing with the seasons meaning you can experience new dishes throughout the year. The wine list has been devised by Simon Stagnell of the Stoney Wine Emporium and supplied by John Armit wine merchants to suit the style of food.

The Restaurant has seating for up to 30 guests and provides a relaxed and informal atmosphere in an open plan dining area that can be easily adapted to accommodate weddings, business functions, private parties and events with fantastic hospitality.

We are the perfect setting for a romantic evening with a loved one, celebrations with family, friends and work colleagues or discreet corporate entertaining.
